2019 Flammerole is 100% Chardonnay from our Redfoot vineyard in Lincoln Lakeshore appellation. The fruit was harvested on October 12th, 2019 and after careful sorting, it entered the press as 100% whole clusters. Fermentation proceeded steadily in a combination of old foudre and barrels, including 5.2% new oak. It completed by early 2020 and the wine continued to age in its fermentation vessels on primary lees for a total of 18 months.
2019 Flammerole was bottled unfiltered and un-fined on May 17th, 2021.
